a joke, not romance, men can abuse women and its fine

He says," he loves her more than life itself". Let's talk about this for a moment, the word love.
She was his wife, not girlfriend but wife.
He kisses another women in front of her. Yes she beats her up but doesn't get upset with her husband. Sorry but I would have a problem with my husband not the girl.
He ignores her for years while others are mean and abuses her. But he tells her to deal with it. Not his problem. Sure, some one breaks into your house, takes all her close and burns them, not his problem. Her scalp hurt do much she gets almost every night from the women pulling her hair, not his problem, he pretends he is a sleep.
She has bruises on her breast and butt, says a brother got a little to touchy. Forcing her clearly, but not his problem. He does nothing, doesn't even care. His wife, doesn't care someone touched her sexually and caused bruises.
So please tell me why any one would fault her for leaving. Her husband does care that she is physically, mentally and sexually assaulted.
I don't blame her one bit not telling him because a mother has to protect her children. If she had a daughter they wouldn't treat her any better. You want your son raised to be like those men, please.
Even with the13 year old son, saying it's ok to have sex, he will give him a couple of hours at that house to give him time. Letting a 13 year old drive, really. At this stage, I wouldn't want him around my kid, he is not a parent.
I'm so confused on why we like him. Why does she love him because he never cared one bit about her.
Sorry I found her a sad, door mat with no respect.
You end it with, we need to talk. So he never says sorry to her, never took responsibility for how he treated her and how he allowed other to treat her. Nothing. But he did say is was time to "woo" her and how he do that? Sex.
Yes so she forgave him just for sex.
So it's ok if he lies, cheats, doesn't care that you were sexually and physically assault, ignores you when you cry, tells you to deal with it but if her screws you then it's love. So sad you write this trash as romance.
If a man does any of this, leave but never go back.
He was a weak person, not worthy of being called a man. You cared about your son enough to get them kicked out of the hotel, didn't care where he would end of sleeping. Yes great dad.
Hated all the characters, I'm glad it's over because the writer. clearly think this is romance and acceptable behavior. It's love.

Truly a Mess

I'm extremely surprised at all the good reviews this book got. I managed to finish this book, but it was really out of curiosity as to how bad it could get.This book was a mess.�The writing was just bland with a weak and unrealistic storyline full of plot holes.There are so many things that was going on in this book which took away from the main storyline.That being said, the story was hard to believe. Neither one of the main characters are very likable and the plot was disrespecting female in so many ways.�

Not for me

This book didn't work for me. Given his attitude towards Dory and how he treated her during and after their marriage, I really don't understand why Dory loves him so much. Yes, she kept the existence of their child from him, but he told her she was dead to him so his reaction to finding out was beyond harsh! I also don't believe for one minute he was faithful during his marriage either. He never once took Dory's feelings into consideration - it's ALWAYS been about him and what he wants, so to me, it wasn't believable when he said he loves her and always has.
J.R was another one I was disappointed with. I was expecting him to stand up for his mother more. No matter how angry I am at my mother, I would never allow her to be disrespected the way J.R allowed his father to disrespect his mother.
I haven't read the previous books, but I didn't like this one. The writing was good, but the story didn't do it for me.
