You fat, dawg?

I picked up SWOLE even though I was coming from the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm not a skinny dude trying to put on mass and gain weight, I am a fat dude trying to lose fat and get stronger. It might seem silly to buy a book that focuses on adding weight to your frame as you attempt to lose it, but this was the single most effective piece of literature I've read to help me lose the fat and get stronger. I applied the principles in the book with slight modifications (portion sizes) and saw great success.
If you're interested in how you should be eating to get the best results out of your training program, you need to cop this book. Doesn't matter if you're a slob or a toothpick, the book will guide you in the right direction. Very well written and concise.

Massively Awesome and Simple

After being stuck at a bodyweight of 210 and needing some guidance as to hit my size goal of 225, I found JP's "Swole" and in no time at all I was as beastly as I had ever been.
It avoids the common pitfalls of growing man boobs and bellies by using quality foods over the normally recommended gallon of milk.
If you want to get big without getting fat this book is for you.

Good principles for adding mass without blowing up

If you are skinny and want to get big and strong this book is a good place to start. If you are a science nerd and want to know all about ratios and macro nutrients, this isn't the book for you. If you want a simple plan to get big, pick it up.
