Mimic, the second book in the identity trilogy, is a fast paced joy ride. Odem builds his main character (bioroid) into a lovable character. His progression as a character is so fun to watch develop. I really like the mystery surrounding his development. Furthermore, this book adds a couple of other great characters too. The each have their own personality and character traits.

The first book was based on Earth, this book is based on the Moon, and the final book will be on Mars. It is really cool to have a series which have different locations like this. You can feel the tensions really building between the three.

Lastly, the plot thickens and unravels making Drake's life and flashbacks at the center of a much larger conspiracy. I am really excited for book three!

Loving this series and can't wait to read the next one. I burned through the first book much quicker than this one but it picked up towards the end. How we left Drake has me very excited for the last book.

Excellent book of tasty, healthy dishes and treats!

I am always trying to find new ways to avoid over-processed, chemical-laden foods. Not only are they bad for you over time, once you are to really pay attention to how your body feels and responds, you can feel the effects of poor eating right away. This book has some great tips to get back on track. It’s packed full of good, clean, healthy recipes—one for every single day of the year. But the best thing is that this isn’t a bunch of bland tofu recipes, but some terrific, tasty dishes and treats that will quench that craving for sweets. The book is organized and broken into sections that include dinner, dessert, and lunch recipes. I appreciated that these healthful dishes didn’t include any hard-to-find or exotic ingredients—everything is easily accessible at your local supermarket or organic food store. Plus, each dish also includes a breakdown of calories, proteins, fat, and carbs, which makes counting calories, etc. much easier. Katie provides a thorough break down of what clean eating is and then follows up with guidelines to help us along in the journey. And the best section of the book happens to be my favorite; scores of clean eating recipes (365 days worth) of smoothies, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and desserts. By the way, the spicy lobster spaghetti is yum! I highly recommend.

He is the author or editor of over 35 books, including: Permission and Regulation: Law and Morals in Post-war Britain (Routledge, 1991); The Future of Policing (with Rod Morgan,�1997); Private Security and Public Policing (with Trevor Jones, 1998); Policy Transfer and Criminal Justice (with Trevor Jones, 2007); Handbook of Policing (2008); and Key Readings in Criminology (2009). Thorough but too heavy in critical criminology

This book is thorough and can be used as a text book in several classes. It does an excellent job of putting the theories in historical context. However, there are critical criminology beliefs sprinkled throughout the book in the guise of objectivity.

Good book, bad delivery.

I tend to do 3 Stars for a great product and 2 more for great service and delivery. This book is great (I assume since our teacher loves it), but I was more than disappointed with my delivery.
I placed this order (I believe) on the 4th, and put one day shipping that I paid an absurd amount extra for, so I could get this book for my upcoming test on the 10th. More than enough time.
Not really.
Sure, it did get here in one day after it shipped, but the problem is I ordered it on the 4th and it didn't ship until the 10th. So I didn't get to even look at the book before my test.
I still got an 85, but blah. Now I have to do extra credit.
But really, good book. Just order it plenty before you need it.

I LEARNED how to love

I am so grateful to the author of this book, Ken Keyes, jr., for teaching me ways of getting free of emotional upsets and even "that grey feeling" and breaking through to Unconditional Love and Oneness. When I first encountered Ken's system, I was an agnostic, and this system worked for me. Later, when I had the experiences and my vision of life transformed, I said to myself, "Oh, this is what they mean by God."

Ken has passed on now, and you would not know this by reading the book itself, but he was one of the most loving, joyful and creative people I ever met --- despite being a quadraplegic! He felt that his condition (caused by polio when he was 23 years old) predisposed him to learn what he could about using the mind to create the experience of happiness. He learned it, and he taught it in a way westerners - even agnostics - could learn without beliefs or years of meditation. It is a very practical system. Thank you, Ken!

It was in 1976 that I first read the Handbook and began practicing The Methods. I still use them every day. This is an extraordinary book.

A must read for everyone

Ok, I have been reading New Age, self help and you name it for more than twenty years. This one book, honest to God, has done more for me than most of those. I read five pages of this a day and it keeps me on track. You'll have to get past his "hippy" language, and I think he means "Attachments" or "Pre-Conceived Notions" when he uses the word "Addiction." He doesn't use the word addiction the way we use it today to connotate a substance abuse. If you're familiar with the Eastern Chakra system -- use those to visualize when he talks about the "Security Center," (First Chakra); "Sensing Center" (Second Chakra); "Power Center" (Third Chakra); "Love Center" (Fourth Chakra), "Cornucopia Center" (Fifth Chakra), etc. He doesn't mention the Chakras but it certainly aligns with them. A must read, especially if you're stuck and need to break out of that.
